Over Semana Santa (the Holy Week) we visited Mexico City (aka Mexico or D.F.) with our friends Gerardo and Ana. Gerardo's family lives in Mexico City and they were very kind to open their house to us as well as showing us various places and cooking some wonderful local dishes. We went to see the temples in Teotihuacan, which you can see pictures of on the 'Ruins' page. We also went to the Zocalo where the main (sinking) cathedral, the Governor's palace, with Diego Rivera's paintings, and the Aztec ruins of Templo Mayor, which the Spaniards built over, are located. Most importantly, we visited two quaint areas of the city called Coyocan and San Angel.
